Studio and home-based Reflexology in West Sussex
and South West London.
I am Lucy Elliott, a fully qualified and insured Reflexologist. I am based in West Sussex and work part of the time in South West London. I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) and trained under Louise Keet at the London School of Reflexology. I am also a qualified practitioner in the Bergman Zone Advanced Facial Reflexology Method, developed by award winning Reflexologist Ziggie Bergman.
After many years using my hands in Garden Design and Upholstery, volunteering in hospice care and hospitals has shown me the power of human touch. I decided that I could put my hands to better use and retrained as a Reflexologist.

Reflexology has been found to benefit a number of specific health issues. You may need help with chronic, injury related or post-op pain; with headaches or migraines; with reproductive, digestive or circulatory issues. You may need help coping with the side effects of other medical treatments. Perhaps you are struggling with your sleep, with anxiety or low mood or just need some help coping with the impact of stress in your life. Whilst Reflexology is not a substitute for medical treatment it can be used alongside as a complementary therapy.
Please contact me to book a session from my home in West Sussex, in London, or from the comfort of your own home.

Reflexology is an ancient holistic therapeutic practice. It is non-invasive, suitable for all ages from infants to the elderly and has been practised for thousands of years. Deeply relaxing, it remains one of the most popular complementary therapies in the UK.
During a treatment I apply gentle pressure to the many reflex points on the feet, hands and face. These reflexes correspond to different areas of the body - the organs, the nervous system, muscles and bones. This soothing therapeutic technique stimulates the reflexes, helping to remove congestion and blockages, encouraging the body to work more efficiently and enabling the body to release tension, to relax and rebalance.
It is well recognised that stress is one of the major contributors to the development of illnesses. When we are stressed the body’s defence systems break down, blockages occur in our energetic pathways and we become more susceptible to illness and disease. Reflexology is a powerful way to relieve stress. It stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system bringing about a state of deep relaxation, promoting recovery and equilibrium.
The benefits of Reflexology are cumulative. Treatments given over a course of time can relieve tension and pain, encourage better sleep patterns, improve circulation and promote natural healing. It can also act as a preventative therapy helping to build one's resilience to everyday stress and promote overall health.
I am a Certified Oncology Reflexology Therapist having completed additional training through Butterfly Touch Therapies, which allows me to help and support people living with cancer at whatever stage of the journey they are on.
Reflexology does not treat the cancer itself. Instead it treats the patient, holistically. It helps to improve the physical side effects of medical treatments as well as helping the patient cope with the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis.
Reflexology is one of the safest and most accepted complementary therapies. It is listed as a safe treatment by Cancer Research UK. As a precaution, it is always recommended that you check with your Oncology team to see if there is currently any reason why you should not start a course of Reflexology.
Reflexology can help on a number of levels during and after treatment for cancer:
• Improved energy levels - fatigue being one of the most common side-effects of most cancer treatments.
• Better sleep – certain medications given during cancer treatment can cause poor sleep, as well as the general anxiety associated with a diagnosis.
• Improved digestion – treatment side effects can include poor appetite, acid reflux, indigestion or constipation, all of which can be improved with reflexology.
• Peripheral neuropathy – this is fairly common side-effect of chemotherapy and whilst it can take a while to heal, Reflexology can speed up the recovery process.
• Lymphatic function – Reflexology can help reduce water retention and regulate lymph flow throughout the body.
• Deep relaxation – this is so important for all levels of physical, mental and emotional healing. During Reflexology clients often fall in to a really deep sleep allowing the body to heal and recover, reducing stress and tension on all levels.
